1st Canadian Mounted Rifles
Paul Cruickshanks Munro enlisted into the 3rd Canadian Mounted Rifles in December 1914 and later served with the 1st Canadian Mounter Rifles as an infantryman once in Flanders. Munro was twice wounded during the war, firstly near Ypres in 1916, then during the Battle of Amiens in August 1918. Days after his second wounding, his brother Frank would be killed with the 49th Battalion (E.R.) near Parvillers. Paul Cruickshanks Munro survived the war and ultimately immigrated to the United States where he passed away in 1968.
