252037 Private Frederick W. Currie

Frederick William Currie joined the 49th Battalion (E.R.) in France in April 1917. During the assault at Passchendaele on October 30, 1917, Currie was gravely wounded by shellfire. He died of his wounds the next day in hospital at Remy Sidings and now rests at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery.
