252621 Private Albert N. McPherson

Albert Norman MacPherson was left his farm in rural Saskatchewan to enlist in 1916. Joining the 49th Battalion (E.R.) in France in May of 1917, he saw action during the Avion Raid the following month. In September 1917, whilst his company was holding the trenches North of Lens, McPherson was killed by enemy artillery fire. He was 28 years old.
