"B" Company, 49th Battalion (E.R.)
Calton Bretz Boker joined the 49th Battalion (E.R.) in France in August 1918. During the Battle of Cambrai, he was exposed to mustard gas and hospitalized. After recovering, he rejoined his unit near Brussels in December 1918 but later contracted the Spanish Flu. Discharged in 1919, he worked as a mechanic before settling in Iowa, where he passed away in 1965.
