432070 Private Romeo Paquette

Romeo Paquette enlisted into the 49th Battalion (E.R.) on the first day of recruitment in 1915. Serving overseas with the battalion the duration of the war, he and his stallion became icons of the Transport Section. Following the war, Romeo Paquette remained active within the 49th Battalion Association and attended many reunions. He passed away in 1948.
