435454 Private Douglas P. Brown

Douglas Petrie Brown joined the 49th Battalion (E.R.) in Flanders in early 1916. Days after his 20th birthday, the Germans launched a raid on "C" Company's position at Hooge. Although he survived the raid, he was killed later that day by enemy fire. He was buried in the 49th Battalion (E.R.) comrade plot at Menin Road South Cemetery, Flanders.
