624086 Private John G. Laing

John Gordon Laing joined the 49th Battalion (E.R.) in France in June 1917. He was reported as missing in October 1917 following the Battle of Passchendaele. Months later his wife would receive a letter from a comrade confirming his death in battle and shedding details on his burial close to where he fell. After the war his remains were concentrated to Tyne Cot Cemetery, Flanders.
