"A" Company, 49th Battalion (E.R.)
Thomas Turner joined the 49th Battalion (E.R.) in December 1916. He partook in the Battles of Vimy Ridge and Passchendaele. In November 1917, Turner fell ill suffering from trench fever. Invalided to hospital in England, he was ultimately discharged as medically unfit. Following the war, Turner resided in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, until his death in August 1936.
