811475 Lance Corporal Wilber Hislop
"C" Company, 49th Battalion (E.R.)
Wilber Hislop joined the 49th Battalion (E.R.) in France in December 1916. He was wounded at Passchendaele the following year and upon recovery, returned to the front. During the advance on the Marcoing Line during the Battle of Cambrai, Hislop was gunned down by German machine gun fire. He buried in Anneux British Cemetery.
