"B" Company, 49th Battalion (E.R.)
William Morris enlisted with his younger brother, Alexander, in 1916. By December, William arrived in France for service with the 49th Battalion (E.R.). Alexander would join the 50th (Calgary) Battalion in France soon after but would die of wounds received in the Battle of Hill 70. William on the other hand would be thrice wounded during the war but ultimately survive. He married in 1919 and passed away in 1961 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
