William Miller Brewster

"B" Company, 49th Battalion (Edmonton Regiment)

William Miller Brewster was part of the first wave of the Sanctuary Wood counter-attack in June 1916. He was wounded during the fighting and was evacuated to England.

Following his recovery, he served at Argyle House in London and helped retrieve the Battalion's colours from Canterbury Cathedral in December 1918. He never returned to the Western Front. He was discharged in 1919 and died ten years later.
